The best Celebrity newsletters

i-D's Substack carries fashion and culture dispatches, including artist interviews, event coverage and essays on media figures. The excerpts show lively, personal reporting with a clear voice and cultural context.

A longform profile newsletter that examines extraordinary people's decisions, the costs of success, and how power works, with a personal, reflective voice. Recent issues mix essays on media narratives around figures like Elizabeth Holmes with thoughtful commentary on how profiles interpret facts.

Vicky Ward Investigates is a Substack by investigative journalist Vicky Ward covering politics, finance, celebrity and culture, with interviews and chats with sources and fellow writers. Readers get inside-track commentary on US-Russia-Ukraine diplomacy, celebrity gossip and high-profile criminal cases.

A weekly Sunday round-up listing notable people with birthdays and anniversaries of death that day, each described with wry, sardonic one-line biographies. The description promises commentary on politics, business and society, but the sampled issues contain only these dated lists.

Sky Burton's 424 is a personal newsletter of long-form essays on music, pop culture and storytelling, including profiles of artists and band histories. Recent issues mix first-person anecdote with cultural commentary on authenticity, rock band dynamics and billionaire doomsday preparation.

Deuxmoi is a celebrity and pop culture gossip newsletter, delivering weekly cheat sheets and subscriber live events. The excerpts are mostly navigation links and event promotion, so there is little substantive writing to judge from.

A Substack companion to the podcast "Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best", with personal notes from Busy Philipps and episode write-ups covering celebrity news and personal updates. Most of the sampled content is podcast episode blurbs with sponsor promotions.
