The California Review is an independent student society and nonprofit at UC Berkeley that publishes academic and journalistic work on contemporary philosophical and political issues, and it also recruits writers and editors. Its issues mix recruitment notices with essays, such as one on how LLM-style word choices are spreading into spoken language.
