Long-form interviews and essays on contemporary art, indigenous and diasporic practices, and the politics of land, labor and displacement. Issues appear in multiple languages and are sold by street vendors who keep all revenue.
Ev Delafose writes long, dense gallery notes on contemporary art exhibitions, with a focus on painting, queer subjectivity and Black critical theory. Readers get theory-heavy close readings of specific shows, framed by philosophical concepts rather than news or listings.
Hyperallergic delivers art world news, exhibition criticism and cultural commentary, covering museum announcements, awards, and the politics surrounding the art market. Readers get a mix of weekly news roundups, reported stories, and critical essays grounded in art history.
