Y'allogy is an essay newsletter about Texas history and culture, pairing archival paintings, photographs and literary passages with long-form commentary. Each issue digs into a specific episode, figure or text, often drawing on Larry McMurtry and Western writing.

A serialised first-person memoir by a man who claims to be the only real Santa, recounting his childhood in Texas and Oklahoma in the 1940s and 1960s. The issues are episodic family anecdotes with a light, self-deprecating voice, and the Santa premise is only lightly developed so far.
